"China's shale gas resources survey report (2014)" released
The survey and evaluation of the national shale gas resources potential and the favorable results of the favorable areas organized by the Ministry of Land and Resources show that China's shale gas geological resources are 134 trillion cubic meters, and the recoverable resources are 25 trillion cubic meters. The report pointed out that China's shale gas resources have great potential, and the potential of recoverable resources ranks among the top in the world. Major breakthroughs have been made in exploration and development, technology and equipment have been basically localized, and multi-investment exploration has taken shape. At the same time, the enrichment law is unclear, the surface has not yet been unfolded, the core technology still needs to be tackled, and the supervision mechanism needs to be improved. It is still the problem faced by China's current shale gas exploration and development. At present, the Ministry of Land and Resources has actively promoted the formulation of technical standards for shale gas exploration and development, and has initially formed a technical standard system. In the practice of shale gas development, oil companies have drawn on the existing national, industry and enterprise standards to form more than 100 technical specifications and standards for drilling engineering, gas production engineering, health, safety and environmental protection.
The report pointed out that China's research on shale gas drilling and completion technology research started late, but the progress is faster. At present, China's shale gas exploration and development technology and equipment have basically been localized, the cost of horizontal wells has been decreasing, and the construction period has been shortened. Through technology introduction, digestion and absorption, and research, China has basically mastered shale gas exploration and development technologies such as shale gas geophysics, drilling, completion, fracturing and gas testing. 3,500 meters of shallow horizontal well drilling and staged fracturing skilled operation, with the ability of horizontal well segmented fracturing section up to 22 sections and up to 2130 meters.
